PATRICIA NOWOROL, Polish - German award - winning choreographer, dancer and teacher based in New York City and Germany. She has a vast range of experience; teaching, performing on television, dramas, fashion and fitness.
Patricia received a BFA degree in Dance Performance on Stage and a Masters in Dance Education from Folkwang University of Essen, Germany.
She also attended the prestigious New York University Tisch School of the Arts on scholarship, graduating with an MFA in Dance and Choreography.
Additional education study includes the Merce Cunningham Dance Foundation Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York City, among others.
In 2002, Patricia was honored in Nordhein Westphalia/Germany and presented with the Young Artist Award of the Ministry of Arts and Culture.
In Europe, she collaborated and performed as a soloist for artists like A. Alarcon, L. Cruz, B. M. Merki, as well as the company members of the Tanztheater Wuppertal/Pina Bausch, including M.Airaudo, D.Mercy, J. Sasportes, among others.
In the United States she has worked with D. Jowitt, K.Cummings, N.Lafrance, C.Haworth and was a member of the NYC SECOND AVENUE DANCE COMPANY (SADC 2007 – 2008)
Moreover, Ms.Noworol has appeared and choreographed for several international productions, dance cruise lines, fashion shows, fitness productions and well-known festivals. Her own choreographies has been perform by numerous groups including, Second Avenue Dance Company in Manhattan, several Cruise Ships and Regende Theater in Germany.
In Germany she performed and presented her works in ; Schauspielhaus Bochum, Grillo- Theater Essen, Semper Opera Dresden, Pumpenhaus Munster, B12 Hamburg, Kulturzentrum Herne, Flottmanhallen Herne, Folkwang Univerity Essen, amongst others.
In New York City her work has been performed in Manhattan Movement Arts Center, Ailey Citigroup Theatre, Duo Theater, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, the HATCH, FAR Space, Atlas Theater, Dance Now Festival, American Dance Guild Festival, the Gala Benefit & Festival Performances at Dumbo Dance Festival, La MaMa Moves Dance Festival and the Association of Performing Arts Presenters 2010.
In 2008, Patricia formed Patricia Noworol Dance Company (PND) based in Manhattan.
PND has received grants from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and was in residency at the Bessie Alumni Workshop, NYC.
In 2010 the RUHR 2010.European Capital of Culture invited the Company to perform in Germany. PND has garnered extraordinary international media attention and glowing press in Germany, Poland and the USA.
In August 2009 Noworol received the EXCELLENCE AWARD at the 2009 NYC International Fringe Festival for the Outstanding Choreography for CIRCUITS, a Dance - Theater Production.
In 2010 Ms. Noworol has been commissioned to direct two youth festival productions in Germany for the RUHR 2010.European Capital of Culture; "Es geht um sie" and "HOMMA" ware met with excellent critical and audience acclaim.
