I am a science writer and editor professionally and an "experienced" amateur photographer. I largely began my photo hobby by collecting pictures of police cars for my friend niteowl7710's web site, National Police Car Archives. I have since expanded my subject matter considerably. I'm interested in honing my skills and further expanding my collection by going more places, shooting more pics, and learning better how to capture engaging photos of interesting people.
