My goal when photographing something is not to document it, but to make art from it. I try to find its soul, its essence, and capture that.
I'm not on Flickr as much as I used to be, but I still stop in every once in a while.
If you want to use one of my photos for any purpose, please ask first.

"where to begin... when eyes like this are a born. eyes at that wonder and a soul that endlessly expresses. who are we to deserve such a privilege.? we can spend hours and lifetimes limping about our day to day. she will catch the beauty we missed. the cracks of light that leak from between doors and into our darkest rooms. the expressions shared between yourself and the clouds. captured and never exploited. the playgrounds of our childhood are ours once again. she is gorgeous because the world she brings to us... has always been. Susanna."

RS_Photography says:
"The photo that attracted me to Susanna's work, was a photo of a lonely bicycle at a waterway called "Back lane bike" which reminded me a lot of my native Holland.
A lot of time has passed since that first comment I left her and I have seen her grow from a young woman with a love for photography to a (semi) professional photographer that shows her passion through her work.
Although a lot of her shots are unique in their own right and often downright amazing, Susanna will always remain very humble and maybe even a bit insecure at times about her achievements.
Going through her stream you will find diversity, creativity and a lot of simply fantastic photos. And if you're lucky enough to be added as one of her contacts, you will find in her one of the best Flickr friends you could wish for, as she will always try to find the time to add some words of praise or encouragement in your stream.
Thank you for your continuous inspiration as a photographer and as a beautiful person. May God bless you Susanna."19th July, 2007

"My first encounter with Susanna's photos was her image of South Mill Pond. It was beautiful in the sunrise, and I could tell it was a place she enjoyed and maybe even photograhed before. Then I saw her photo of a bike leaning against a fence, and what caught my eye was that, there beyond the fence, was her South Mill Pond.
That told me all that I needed to know about Susanna at that moment and why I would love returning to her photos and getting to know her.
Susanna is a seeker; an explorer whose camera is an extension of her eyes and her heart. It wasn't enough for her to capture the lovely sunrise over the pond. She had to return. She had to walk around, encirle the place and search out it's wonders. Like Thoreau, who said that he wanted to drive life into a corner and make it give up its secrets, she uses her camera to make the world around her reveal its truth and beauty, whether it be a leaf caught in a stream, a child's smile or her own warm gaze.
I love her wonderful inquisitiveness and the way she expresses it in her images and how they inspire me to return again to places to see what I've missed. I love that she's always trying to learn, to improve. She always seems to be trying to allow her technical knowledge grow at the same pace as her developing gifts as an artist. And her unblinking record of her life and the world around her is both an expression of her love for life and her way of showing love.
And for those fortunate enough to read her comments or email her, Susanna is a warm and wonderful person who is encouraging, strong and full of grace."26th March, 2007
