Hi there,

I think I've always been interested in great photos, perhaps from reading my parents' LIFE and NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC magazines as a child, and even from having my own subscription to Sports Illustrated going back to the time I was about 8-10 years old. I always loved the sports photography in SI and the great photos in the other magazines I mentioned, or anywhere else I could find cool pictures.

I remember wanting my own camera before I wanted a car, and taking photos of just about anything I could find -- trees in our backyard, family get-togethers, cookouts, parties, even my first U2 concert at the age of 16. Most of those old photos are long gone now, but I do still have the U2 shots. :-)

I kinda lost interest in photography for a while, but Flickr has really brought back the passion. In 2006 I shot a photodiary of one photo every day for the full year. It was a lot of fun, and hard work, too -- but it's great to look back at how the year went via the pictures I took.
