[2009 Update]

I'm still here, considering to get a proper DLSR. I want to take better pictures. Maybe I might just get a better compact with better optical zoom.

[2008 Update]

Well for the first time in about 5 or 6 years, I started a new year without a blog of any sort. No central gathering point for all things fnet, no, that role has been filled by Facebook, whether we like it not. Facebook is not the reason why I stopped blogging, no, it was my lack of time (really?) and lack of enthusiasm. What's the point of keeping an amateurish blog when there's hundreds, nay, thousands of better, more concise, profoundly more verbose, interesting, better written, better laid out and more passionate blogs out there that are... better?

Anyway, 2008 is not without its promises. One thing this year I'd like to achieve is to actually take better pictures. Yes, I only have a point and shoot Canon IXUS, but I think that is beauty of the challenge.

Let's see how I do.


I'm not a good photographer by any stretch of the imagination. Rather than actively seeking picture opportunities, I seem to stumble upon them like a drunkard. I'm no artist, but perhaps there's a part of me yearning to be one.

I joined flickr so that my photos can be enjoyed by my friends and as a catalogue of my life thus far. I like taking photos, so maybe I might get better.
