It's not quite as bad as going to the dentist, writing one of these profiles, but it's always tough. I'll start with the easy stuff. I'm 46 years old. I have a degree in graphic design from Oregon State and have been working in graphics, marketing communication and marketing for 20 years.

I got my first camera in 1983. It was an Olympus OMG. I took lots of vacation pictures and some were good but in the days of film, experimentation was too expensive. I got my first digital camera in 1992. It was a funky Canon RC-570

Most of what I shoot is for work. I do a lot of product photography, and mostly it's plastic tubing. Tubing is tricky to shoot, especially with any creativity. Some of my work is here on Flickr.

It was being here on Flickr, and getting inspired by Greg-0, Konejita, Jesse, Miles, Lynn, Gary Randall and others, that has me working on my landscape skills. I have a long way to go but I'm working at it. Any comments that you have are appreciated.

I call myself a Photoshop Guru. I give myself that title based on having worked much of every day since 1992 in Photoshop. I offer up my counsel to any of my friends here and am always happy to provide tips or even color adjust a picture.

And about that image below... yes, I've been to all 50 states! I made it to #50 - Oklahoma - in 2010. I've bagged 14 countries too. Obviously I enjoy traveling and shooting.
