art by Ren Adams

Artist, writer, poet, semi-philosopher, teacher, dork.

I've been painting and sketching my entire life--and seriously cultivating technique for over 20 years.

My focus is on Chinese brush painting, which I do daily as part of my meditation. I'm also a Taoist and I find Chinese brush painting to be a centering, calming connection to the Tao... each painting is another step along the path of peace and balance.

I also work in oil, acrylic, pastels, ink, graphite, printmaking (monotype, collagraph, relief), and small-scale sculpture.

My work explores the interconnectedness of all things, identity, and the instantaneous moment.

    Une Petite Etoile says:

"PlasticPumkin (aka Ren) is an artistic goddess who made my studio beautiful beyond my wildest dreams with a series of tropical botanicals, included my beloved giant sago in bloom.

    Her worth is just breathtaking."
