Flickr is a wonderful place for exploration; I’m always inspired here! I’ve met people that I’m happy and proud to say are my Flickr pals, generous & creative folks with all sorts of backgrounds and interests and talents. A big thank you!

I live in Dayton, Oregon and I'm retired from the restaurant world; now I work in a tiny rural library. I've always loved books, I can read all day very happily and I become quickly absorbed into the writer's world. "Stories, they're addictive..." is a quote from one favorite author Louise Penny, and it is quite true!
Images are addictive also. I drew and painted for many years, still do some drawing, but in the late 80's I discovered Amiga, a now defunct graphic computer system that developed and sold graphic programs similar to Photoshop, Illustrator and Corel. Needless to say, I loved it! Then I finally acquired a Mac and PSE and fell more firmly in love with computer graphics, but never have taken any classes since those long ago days in Cambridge, MA.

I collect vintage magazines and am happy to share them here on Flickr. Recently I’ve been noticing scads of my uploads elsewhere on the internet and really prefer that this didn’t happen. This has nothing to do with copyright and everything to do with trying to maintain some control which is an impossible goal! Thus, rather than disable downloads which is not a successful preventive, I’m now uploading only small sizes. Some uploads in large size will be visible only to my friends.

----> If you make me a contact and I find you either have a stream I find objectionable or you have nothing to share, I will block you. <-----

"Nancy is that rare kind of individual--giving, funny, honest, and a fantastic flickrite who shares with us her marvelous collection of rare magazine, children's books, etc., practically daily! Her massive collection of Coles Phillips is a treat beyond imagination. I am so grateful to have met her here, and consider her a very valuable friend."
