I'm a living contradiction...
a strange girl with good diction...
walking the line between health and addiction...
never letting the world know what is truth and what is fiction...

what you see is what you get -
but what you see is often daily different.
i love with my head and i think with my heart
probably the reason this world rips me apart

send me to heaven or send me to hell
but never tell me it's not my soul to sell
you can steal and you can break
but some things no one can ever take
not so long as i still know

these truths that are self evident
that the only way to have anything is to lose everything
the only thing you can ever keep
is the the choice to keep nothing
the only survival lies in dying
and if you think you've already died inside
you needen't worry: in this world, they can kill you twice.

and the only tree I never water
is the cannibal tree
it's shadow hanging over me
all the way from the front yard at home
keeping it grey no matter how far I roam
it's roots run deep
but I've got fast feet

the only way out is thru
but until I suss out the maze
I'll keep trying to outrun the hazy dazy
the crazy lazy

and every so often
I'll get to see the sun.
