    Bobby Alcott says:

"I can never, ever get enough of Julie's rural sunset & sunrise photos. Even in the dead of Winter, those shots take me to the warm breezes of mid-summer evenings... and brings a smile to my face every time.

I'm beyond thankful I found her on Flickr, and I look forward to see what she shares with us next."

"Julie is one the very first people to take an interest in my photos when I joined Flickr way back in 2005, hers are a constant inspiration to this day, and I will always be tremendously grateful for both. Thank you!"

"Not only does Julie's photo make me want to move to Southern Michigan, but I do believe she has the Fountain of Youth there as well.
    Cheers to you CaptPiper!

    Jeff Clow says:

"Julie is a first class photo artist - and I'm sure you'll agree to that assessment as soon as you view her photostream. There is a reason her work has been featured in Popular Photography - she's a world class shooter.

But what you may not know about this classy lady is that she is also a generous member of the Flickr community ... one who takes the time to comment positively and view other's images on a regular basis.

Flickr is a better place because of Julie, and I'm proud to be able to call her a friend..."

    "This is practically impossible!

I haven’t written a testimonial for ol’ Cap’t Piper yet?

And to think that I was coming back to write her a second ode!

My gosh, my goodness! I must apologize than, for my praises are long overdue.

You, my dear Julie, are a great photographer. Not to mention mother-artist-adventurer! Wow, a real human being!

Your ability to capture the Glory of God is stunning. Truly inspirational. For with your photos you are building a marvelous cathedral in honor of Her creation, this paradise, Mother Earth.

    (sigh, pause, awe)

Gazing upon your photos is a privilege. Thank you kindly for taking the time to share your work with all us mortals. Your benevolence is truly appreciated, especially by one who lives and works, loves and dies a hundred deaths in the City that Never Sleeps everyday. The purview of your countryside is great place to escape to when need be, if only via the unlimited space of my imagination.

    Kudos.

"I had the pleasure to meet CaptPiper in the flesh and it was amazing to see her working with the camera. She is a humble person who sees the world through her humble eyes and transmits powerful images of beauty.

By looking at her landscapes one can see God’s majestic creativity. His grace and glory through a beautiful sky a beautiful road illuminated by sunlight.

Morning or dusk she can capture the essence with a simple flick of the camera.

Just check her “Autumn Leaves” set, or “Misty Morning in August” or “Country Scenics” or maybe all!

I hope you keep taking photos forever Julie.
Thanks for sharing all these wonderful photos with us!"

CaptPiper change every scene to the special one. sky, clouds, leaves, birds, and mailbox, too!
We can see the beauty of nature through her beautiful blue eyes.

"Permission to speak freely?... Capt’n Piper is a sweetheart with a great eye, well two eyes, blue eyes in fact. I love for her to take a walk, or a drive, or garden, because eventually there will be something wonderful in her camera by which to remember the day. May she always take the long way to work passed the “Glorious Mailbox.” Funny, smart, talented, down to earth, she’s all that and more. I look forward to every new photo and her comments too. Her presence in Flickr makes it a better place."

"It's all too easy to take cliche pictures--we've all done it. But Piper's eye and heart are true in her photography. The commonplace is shown as luminescent, beautiful, real."
