i'm a henna artist/book maker/calendar maker working toward a homesteader's life out in the heartland. my goal is to

-live in a small shelter that i build by hand with local and natural materials
-grow most of my own food
-preserve a lot of food
-plant and tend an edible forest garden
-grow native and medicinal herbs
-provide salves, tinctures, oils, etc for my local community
-provide books and menstrual calendars for local folks out of recycled materials
-document my transition from a corporate culture/mainstream life to one of sustainability and awareness
-simplify my needs and create local, simple systems to reduce corporate/consumer dependence
-connect with local community folks to build strong social and economic bonds

i like to take pictures of the land, gardens, bugs, sky, and sometimes henna, too.
