Age 77 years.Retired in 1993 as Managing Director of SHIVAJI WORKS LTD, a public limited company,Solapur,India ,now KIRLOSKAR FERROUS INDUSTRIES LIMITED.( KIRLOSKAR group company).

After retirement, I joined painting class in 1996 ,without any formal knowledge of painting,under the experienced artist and learnt how to sketch and paint in oil on canvas.I did my first 10 paintings in one year under his expert guidence.Unfortunately the teacher expired. I further developed the art on my own.All my paitings are from photos.

I am married .My wife Nilam is 71 years of age and is expert in making Karnataki Kashida on silk sarees. We have two sons and one daughter.Our second son is settled in USA.We have four grandchidren-all of them are grown up and are well educated/doing post graduation.

I have made paintings of all in my family.
