Bienvenue! I am bilingual (French/English) but my written French is poor. I apologize to all my French flickr friends if my comments are in English.
Photography is far more than the recording of light to produce a beautiful image. Photography is a means by which we can see and appreciate what this world has to offer. To go out on a photo expedition (alone or with someone) and to return without a good image is not a failure or a waste of time. If you feel that way then you are missing out on the best part of photography which is being there. If your lack of images is because of a lack of skill and knowledge then you are not putting in enough time and effort to learn the craft.
I’ve been at this for over 25 years but it is only since 2008 that photography has become an art, before that it was a just a hobby. My craft has and continues to evolve, where it will take me, no one knows.
