I can remember using a camera somewhere about 5 years old. I remember how cool it felt to look through the lens and see what I came up with. I still get that feeling today when I look through a lens and see what angle I can get, or just how CLOSE can a CLOSE UP be??

I shoot primarily for my family and for leisure, but, it seems as, OH MY, 40 looms on my horizon. I want not only to capture a moment or thing, but I want to hold on to it in a different way. AND hold it forever. I now look at things for their color or the way a light bounces off of it. I think photographers, amateur or otherwise just see things that way. And have that desire to hold that "certain something" forever...

I am the mother of a 4 year old and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't see him sitting or doing something and think "I just wanna freeze that moment". Being a photographer gives me a chance to do that. To seal in time that little look, raised brow or peaceful slumber. To hold it forever.

Photography not only lets me live in the now..it lets me live for the future..for that next great shot. It also lets me relive the past. Not many things these days let you be in the past, present AND future...

Photographers hold onto not only the "right now" but we hold that "right now" forever.
