Hello!
I'm a collector of paper ephemera, including children's illustrated books, sheet music, postcards, magazines, Alice in Wonderland, Halloween, and I could continue forever. I collect images where ever I can find them and have gathered thousands of vintage images and utilize them in a jewelry craft business, selling at juried craft events where many of the images I posted here have been made into pins etc. I wanted to share my love of illustration with jewelry, but also with others here that hold similar interests.

Here are my new and hopefully improved guidelines for images on my stream.

I try to give a source for the various illustrations etc on my stream. Sometimes, it's simply not possible for me to remember specifics about an illustration I found years ago and made into jewelry, etc. So, this is what you should now see under the image

1. From our collection.
This means--from my husband and I's hardcopy collection of illustrations--books, cards, sheet music, etc etc

2. From my image collection--images I found either in books or from friends collections or around the internet, etc.

3. A website's URL--sometimes I find great things and want to share the wonderful pieces. YOU are responsible to find out if in the public domain.

4. A specific book or person etc that I remember I received the illustration from. I will explain in full, if I have the info.

5. If I have nothing written--it means I've either not had time to post it, or I just don't know where the hell it arrived in my collection.

These new guidelines are not retroactive--meaning, the first 9,000 or so images haven't been catogorized in this method.

MY own personal collection--Yes, I do add images I find here from flickr to my personal collection. I DO NOT ever ever put them on my own stream. If someone thinks I have done so, it would be completely inadvertent and I'd remove it immediately. Most likely, we both like the same kinds of things, and we have some of the same images. I DO NOT make collage pages or CDs from anyone's images here or anywhere, including my own stuff, because I don't want too, and because using others' work for collages is unethical.

I will not tolerate wholesale downloading of my stream to use for A CD FOR SALE, OR A COLLAGE PAGE FOR SALE. I work very hard on cleaning up these images for everyone to see and perhaps use in their artwork, but not for someone else to come along and profit from it. Selling individual art using the images is one thing--just taking stuff and turning into a money machine for ones self is another. If I should catch someone doing this, as I have in the past, I can be a rather, how shall I put it--nasty pursuer of justice.

A note on contacts--I believe that flickr is a sharing place--meaning, if you see my stuff, you should have stuff for me to see--something, anything, at the very least. If an individual doesn't have something up, I usually ban them.

Now that an entire book has been written--I wish everyone to please enjoy all the eye candy on my stream, I intend to try to keep bringing more of it--for as long as I can!
