When you combine his inspiration, with his abilities as a photographer and his processing virtuosity, you get fotos that are surprising, exciting, beautiful, original, powerful and very often eye-blowing.
What impresses me most about Dale is his vision. There seem to be no limits to the power and the imagination of his creative inner eye. He walks through the world with open eyes and ears and a song or a building or a naked lightbulb or whatever he takes in, can stimulate him to create breathtaking images that are new and unique. He’s got style (particularly with his hat on) and taste and his use of negative or positive space as well as texture is innovative and masterful. Dale is also a man of surprises and when you expect another magical larger-than-life image, he will present a candid street portrait or the delicate close-up of a plant. In his hand something ordinary turns into something grand and special.
Dale has a big heart and takes the time to view and comment on the work of others in a positive and motivating way. And he has a wonderful taste in music which he is so happy to share with all of us.
Dale is inspired and he certainly inspires many many others including me!
