I'm a bluegrass musician performing dobro, singing and living in the beautiful state of Montana. I'm an IT professional and web developer, hotel operator and Director of the Billy Poole Memorial Fund.

My exercise and spirituality come in the form of telemark skiing, backcountry skiing, mountain biking, water skiing, and backpacking.

In 1985 I graduated with a BS in computer science from the University of Montana and moved away to pursue my career as a technologist on the East Coast. I began developing internet solutions in 1995. In 2002 I was finally lucky enough to be return to Montana. I worked with my parents (my Mom is Ruby of Ruby's Inn in Missoula) for 5 years developing a hotel management company to manage our families hotel properties. I am on the Board of Directors of the Travel Industry Association of Montana.

My son, Billy Poole, a professional extreme skier, was in a fatal skiing accident on January 22, 2008. Billy's sister, Pennie Thompson, and I formed the Billy Poole Memorial Fund in his memory. This charity helps support programs around the world that help disadvantaged kids get outdoors to connect with nature through skiing.

I have 4 wonderful grandsons!
