I retired from a full time job on 10/31/03 and immediately went to MI the next day to photograph with my very good friend, Gary Martin! I'm 67 and celebrated my 39th wedding anniversary with my husband, Dan (71 on 6/3/11), on 2/27/11. We have 1 daughter, Maria, 32. I consider myself a "serious" amateur photographer and am currently trying to build a photography business. I've been photographing since June 1962 and started with a Kodak Brownie 1-button camera. I currently shoot with a Canon Rebel G 2000 and a Canon Elan-7NE, both film cameras. I mostly shoot with Fuji Provia 100F slide film, but use Fuji Velvia 50 for low light sunrise/sunset/moonset shots and Fuji Provia 400F when shooting birds/ducks/swans. I use both a UV and/or a circular polarizing filter, depending on the light and sometimes a warming filter. I have 4 Canon lenses: 17-35mm, 24-85mm, 75-300mm and 100mm macro and a 2x teleconverter. I usually carry 1 camera with the 24-85mm lens on it and the 75-300mm with at least 4 rolls of film in a mini-pack which also serves as a shoulder purse. When shooting in Boston or other fairly local areas in Massachusetts, I usually use a camera case, but when traveling further afield, I have a camera backpack with a waist strap that allows me to carry everything with me without too much trouble (because of the waist strap).

In addition to my website, www.photo-reflexions.com, some of my photos of my friend, Gary Martin, can be found on his website, www.coastalbeacons.com. Thanks to Thad Roan (Bridgepix on Flickr), some of lighthouse catwalk/footbridge and suspension bridges along with articles on them, have been added to his blog on his website, www.bridgepix.com. I have had 4 exhibits of some of my work; 2 in Kalamazoo, MI with other photographers and artists and 2 in libraries in Tewksbury and Lowell, MA of just my photographs and will be having my first gallery show of entirely my photographs in June 2012, which also will be my 50th year photographing.

I particularly like to shoot natural abstracts and odd-angled perspectives of glass reflective buildings and other architecture and reflections, but I do shoot a variety of other subjects as well.

"Terry has helped me so much in photography through flickr! When I first came onto flickr, I was a very amateur photographer with just a small Canon Powershot and I didn't think I would achieve much compared to the other pros on here. Through just comments, notes, and messeges Terry has taught me that even with someone small like me, I can still make great photos and captureing great architecture that I probably wouldn't notice without her. She's helped so much with our group "Freakin' Awesome" that I don't know where I would be without her. Also, her photography is just amazing! She is skilled in nurmous fields, especially abstract photos. Her never-ending love for the John Hancock building never bores me because all of the photos are simply great! I love Terry and her photos will always seize to amaze me."

"I met Terry on her visit to the Vancouver area. Terry is a wonderful warm person dedicated to her family first, but she also has a wonderful creative vision in her art of photography. Her Achitectural images and her Lighthouses are first rate. I do hope that one day we can meet up again,- until then I always look forward to her new images on flickr and her own web-site!

"I have known Terry for many years now, both from Flickr and also from other interactive web sites. Her photography, especially her eye for building reflection compositions are excellent. Her lighthouse series of images from northern freshwater lakes are outstanding. Her work is very good indeed.

"I've been following Terry's photography for along time on various internet places. She has a wide variety of marvelous work including lighthouses, San Francisco and Boston. She is best known to many of us for her reflection pictures though. She has a knack for producing wonderful images of reflective buildings. check out her sets and you'll see what I mean. In addition Terry is a thoughtful, supportive person who always takes the time to comment on others work. Just a real nice lady."
