I am 23 years old. I have loved photography since it seems forever, but realistically probably since I was thirteen years old. I have always been fascinated with taking photographs of memories that will never disappear in time. The thought of looking back on photos I have taken when I am much older amazes me. I always have a camera on me. Recently, I have been carrying around my Panasonic Lumix GF1 everywhere I go. I also shoot with a Holga 120N, Canon Rebel 2000 and sometimes my old 80's version Polaroid. I love old vintage cameras.

I know as I have gotten older - I have become very much like a hermit crab. I am not as social as I once was - only at work. I enjoy going places on my own or with my wonderful husband and just being one with nature. When I am outside photographing nature - I am at peace and I reach a state of nirvana. It is sort of like meditation to me. What is going on in the world irritates me more than ever before and I think that is why I am distancing myself from humankind and staying close to what I know still contains some kind of innocence.

I am very fortunate to have a husband who understands me and pretty much thinks the same way I do about everything. We are two peas in a pod. I love him and can not imagine how and where I would be without him. As much as my cat, Buddy, drives me nuts - I know he has made a home in my heart. I would be sick if something ever happened to him. I am extremely grateful for my family and few friends that I can actually call friends. At this point in my life, I have realized who my true friends are.

I don't need much anymore. Simplicity is key. All I need are my cameras, the love of my husband, family, and friends, and a long life to see the beauty that still exists in this world.
