My first camera was a Canon AE1 which I used for many years until I purchased my first digital which was a Sony DSC-S85 over 8 years ago. Joining the digital age turned me into a photographing madwoman and I always have a camera with me. After much drooling and saving I was fortunate enough to purchase my Canon 20D in January '06, it has been my constant companion for 4 years now, hard to believe it has been so long! After many thousands and thousands of pictures it still serves me faithfully.
Lenses I have:
Canon 18-55
Canon 100mm
Canon 100-400
January 2012-In December I finally wore out the shutter in my beloved 20D. After saving a bit I bought my Canon 60D and cannot wait to explore the world it will open up for me!

Noel C. Hankamer says:
"I was pleased to meet Marilyn at Alvin's Depot Days. She said she was shy about asking for subjects for her 100 Strangers project, but didn't come off as shy that day!
Beautiful photos in her stream show her heart and mind are both dedicated to photography.
Glad to be on her friend list."2nd September, 2008

"Marilyn is a A-Class photographer! You won't be disappointed if you visit her photo stream. I met Marilyn on another website and was happy to find her on Flickr. Marilyn has a heart of gold and a great sense of humor. I'm always envious of her when she goes photographing with her friends in Texas and wish I were there, too! Her photos have been recognized more than she has mentioned and she deserves all of the recognition she has gotten! Way to go, Marilyn! You've become a dear friend and hope we see each other again."

"Marilyn really got me started in photography. I have always admired others photos but never had the courage to try it myself. Now, wonderfully, we have a blast taking road trips, encouraging each other, & laughing about what we captured. Thanks, Marilyn, for your friendship & inspiration........you are a beautiful person who takes awesome photos!"
