Originally from the Rio Grande Valley (deep South Texas), I moved to Austin to work and continue my higher education. Here I met my wife and together we have a beautiful son who keeps us both quite busy.

I am a fine arts aficionado who appreciates all forms of art. In addition, I enjoy photography, nature, experiencing new cultures and religions, traveling, hiking, and politics.

As a kid, my dad use to buy me plastic 35mm cameras for Christmas and my birthday. In my teens, I started using my dad's Minolta XG-1 and Canon Rebel SLR cameras.

Although many of my photos are taken with compact digital cameras, I am starting to revisit photography using the old Minolta XG-1 SLR camera.
