It is not easy to summarize a person in words, especially when that person is yourself. But I will start by telling you that I am a New Jersey born, self-taught freelance photographer and digital artist who is currently living in New York City. I have always enjoyed the art of photography, and although it is not my full-time job, try to involve the medium in my every day life. I keep a camera with me at almost all times. If I am not taking new pictures on my own, I am looking at the works of others in order to learn from and appreciate different perspectives and ideas.

Although I sometimes use film, it is probably because of my background in computers that I have always been drawn to and found digital photography most appealing. I received my first digital camera as a Christmas present in 1998, and am now on my fifth digital camera since then.

I have also, for a long time, been interested in what can be done with a picture after it has already been taken. I feel that the initial photograph is often just the beginning, as there is so much that can be done digitally to create the final work. Painting has always been an "on and off" hobby of mine, and I feel that the tools provided on computers are much like a bridge combining my love of painting/art, and photography. I like to think of the final work as art, and the camera as one of the tools used to create it. Of course, sometimes I just document things around me.

That said, I'm especially interested in shooting images with an artistic edge. It sounds cliche, but you get the idea.

I shoot mostly with a Canon 1dmkii.

Much of my best work is on my web site, and I also have portfolios on various other sites. Many of those older pictures will be brought here, although my flickr will contain many images not found elsewhere. I plan to use my flickr page as a random hodgepodge of the various things that I have been doing with my camera... including model shoots, street photography, people I've seen and places I've been, etc. Like a portfolio-meets-photoblog kind of thing.
