Photography started out as a hobby and I am self taught via various media, making lots of mistakes and listening to advice from those in the know. I live near Falmouth in Cornwall, and have lived in Cornwall for twenty two years. I love nature, be it the wildlife or the landscapes, and work in both 35mm film and digital when photographing. I always try to convey the natural beauty of what we have around us, and this is one of the reasons why I don't enhance any of my photographs. The only alteration I may do is a little cropping, contrast or colour balance. I don't believe in over-editing of images as it can make them seem unreal. All of my images always remain as close as possible to the moment of capture.
