The man and the ripple by Philippe Gelin - Far2ReaL

Born in Paris, lives in London. Quick photographic bio :

First camera: my mother's Canon

First SLR: a Nikon. I had various models, F2 (could also be used as a weapon...), FM2, FE2, etc. I mostly used a 50mm and a great 20mm.

I started with friends, Paris, parties and night shots. I then moved on to photos of boxing matches and boxers in the early 80s (why? I was boxing!), sold some, unfortunately lost the others.

In need of new horizons, I started to travel as much as I could with my 2 Nikons in the 80s and early 90s (South America and Asia mainly) until the money ran out.

First digital camera: Nikon Coolpix

Type of photos: cityscapes, landscapes, occasionally people and animals (the same really...), random stuff.

Gear:
canon 5D and G10. Both great cameras.
canon 50mm f1.8, 1 - cheap and chearful...
canon zoom 16-35mm
canon zoom 24-105 f4L IS - great multipurpose lens
canon zoom 75-300mm
canon 135mm f2L - amazing!
Fuji X100 - interesting but still not working properly.
iPhone - no longer do I need another pocket camera...
