Peter Hawkins
A graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California, Peter prepared for a career as a nature photographer. With the exception of four years in Hawaii Peter and his wife Debbie have lived in Northern Minnesota. Peter brings his skill and creativity along with the desire to learn in order to create exciting images for all to enjoy.
Using 35mm, Digital SLR and 4X5 formats Peter expresses his vision of the land, animals and plant life in hopes of urging others in their preservation of nature for generations to come. Peter creates images that make you “feel as if you are there”, as a way to bring the viewer closer to nature.
His work has appeared in several publications including Midwest Living, Northwest Airlines World Traveler, Country America and Cruising World . Peter published “Itasca Headwaters of the Mississippi River” a book about Itasca State Park.
Peter is a member of North American Nature Photographers Association (NANPA), American Society of Picture Professionals (ASPP) and National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP).
