The older photos on this site have probably been taken on transparency with Pentax ME-Super - all the photos from Madagascar were taken on this camera. However, heat and dust during this trip did a lot of damage to it and it has not worked properly since.

I have a little Canon Digital Ixus that I use sometimes when space is a premium. I really need to invest in a new small camera as the results that I get with this disappoint me so I tend to lug my D-SLR around with me, My main camera from 2006-2010 was a Nikon D50; it is going to serve as a backup as I have just acquired a Nikon D300S!!

A 17-55mm F2.8 Nikon lens remains bolted to the camera 90% of the time. I also have a fairly basic 70-210mm lens which last left home over a year ago - I really need to spend some money on a decent telephoto lens.

However, my latest investment is a Nikon 50mm F1.4 - bokeh-tastic.I am really enjoying playing with this lens which is so small and light that it is never a chore to carry it! My next toy will probably be a 10-20mm super-wide angle lens - I am probably going to buy the SIgma version as the reviews are good and it is much cheaper than the Nikon version
