A Canon AE-1 was Pete's favorite toy when he was a boy. One his early assignments was a trek into his back yard for a special one copy edition of the National Geographic. As he grew older, Pete often accompanied his newspaper reporter father on big stories. Knowing that photojournalists get to do all the cool stuff, Pete would ditch his dad and help schlep the assigned photographer's gear. He helped cover presidential visits, earthquakes, the 49ers, a notorious kidnapping/murder case, and timber protests.

In college Pete was the photo editor of the school paper. But his real passion was photographing the Bay Area punk scene that was emerging in the late 90s. One day, Pete thinks, those well preserved negatives will see the light of day. After college Pete worked in pears, worked road crew for a few rock bands, dabbled in some documentary video, and had several bad haircuts.

Not just good with a camera, during business hours Pete project-managed the trucking logistics for some pretty big rock tours like Bruce Springsteen and The Eagles, the tour merchandise for Phil Collins, and the product line of a niche-leading sporting goods company. He's also the the co-founder and co-editor of Westandclear.com, a web-magazine focusing on life and issues in Fort Worth, TX.

Today, Pete comes equipped with all that pro-quality photographer junk that will ruin his back unless he does his sit-ups. He can transmit on deadline. He is multimedia ready. Pete is a pretty mellow dude, and he wants to know what he can do to help you. He's a member of the National Press Photographer's Association and follows their Code of Ethics. He's a certified SCUBA diver and wants to spend more time in the water, but he'll settle for riding his red bike around San Francisco.
