Aviation Photographer, husband, and a member of AirTeamImages. I am also a Active Member of the ISAP (International Society of Aviation Photographers). But I pretty much work full time doing nothing at the moment. I love it. Nashville is a magical city with something happening all the time. It truely is "Music City"!

I do alot of aviation related photography because it's a way to blow off steam and it's fun. I also venture into the city for some candid shots and city life type stuff. Hey, feel free to leave a comment if you like what you see. All I do is ask that you grab a nice drink, sit back, and enjoy the ride. It will be worth it, believe me!

I have also started photography of mines and mining equipment. This is something I have been around all my life so I wanted to collect as much as I could. I have been truly blessed and I thank everyone who has helped me. Coal Mining is a big part of my life and my family and I just want others to see it and be educated on it. It helps you get to know me more!

Thanks for viewing my work. And if you want to purchase, use any of it, or link to something please contact me at mddavis@comcast.net. I would be happy to work with you on your needs.

Also, if you add me as a contact, atleast take the time to comment on pictures you like. The favor will be returned in due time. I have a lot of contacts and I try my hardest to make time for each one, so be patient with me. But if you see something you like, let me know about it!

If you add me and do not have any photos or do not have an icon, expect to not be added as one of my contacts and expect to be banned from me. I don't allow sharing of my photos without permission. DO NOT ADD ANY PHOTOS TO A BLOG WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Any act of of this without permission will be considered a breach of Copyright. Nothing you see in my collection is legally a Creative Commons. All work you see is Copyright and All RIghts Reserved.

    johnncox says:

"I tend to classify photographs into two styles: (1) documenting something that is there and (2) creating an artistic image. I am fair to middling at #1 and have absolutely no ability whatsoever at #2. A lot of people view #1 (documenting reality) was being inferior to #2 (creating art). But I think each style has its role to play. But typically photographers tend to favor one style or the other. But the best photgraphers don't limit themselves to one or the other, but are able to combine both to create a striking image that also serves to document something special at a particular moment in time.

Micahel Davis is most defintely in the catagory of photographers who combine the grace of an artist with the sensibility of an historian. His photographs document important facets of our society in a manner that draws you into the photograph not only because of the sheer beauty of the image, but also because of the importance of what is being photographed. Well done, Michael Davis. I am a better photographer for having looked at your photographs."

"i really like Micheal Davis's photography. Wondeful shots ranging from the A380 to the 737 and what i love about the 737 shots is they are very well composed and totally wonderful to look at.

I always see his posts on the 737-200 photos i have searched through, i dont know what his favorite plane is but i suspect it is the 732. He always has somehting to say about each photo.

    Thanks Mike"

"I like photography and I like airplanes so taking pictures of airplanes is an inevitable activity for me. But I’m simply one of those guys with a low end DSLR and lenses to match.

Michael, on the other hand, is a serious photographer with equipment to match. A quick glace at his inventory of sets and one immediately recognizes the breath of Michael’s experience and talent. The truth is my sense of what makes an excellent aviation photo is in large part due to the examples found in Michael’s photostream. Even with the limited time I have to surf Flickr, I never skip over Michael’s latest posting(s)…never.

You’ve a great photostream, Michael. Thanks for the examples and inspiration."
