Every time I receive an invitation to photograph a new place, a challenging number of different and unexpected variables are set upon me.

To transcend the beauty of the landscape into pictures is not an easy task and, as a biologist, I learned to have a peculiar perception about photography. Patience and persistence are the primary tools to pursue the right light. The moment that culminates in all the effort could be lost if I were too rushed.

In order to document the environment ,a story or even a culture in texts and images, meticulous planning is needed. It is also necessary to abandon all prejudices and pre-acquired concepts of the theme to better understand and accept whatever comes ahead.
