Father of two boys, novice birdwatcher, motorcyclist, occasional cyclist, and technologist by profession who enjoys good beer, good food, and sitting in hides on rainy days.

Keen photographer with rather strong addiction to acquiring photo gear - I sometimes wonder whether I'm more interested in the kit than the activity.

Proud custodian of aging Mamiya RB medium format outfit including some of the more esoteric lenses - used when I have time to take a more contemplative approach to my photography. When I want to really drive my family mad I pull out the 4x5 kit and disappear under the focus cloth the explore the wonders of upside down images and the scheimpflug principle ;-)
