Married with an understanding wife.

We managed to sire 2 children David & Graeme both who play Rugby at Westoe RFC in the League National 2 North.

Took up photography due to my late father's brother Alan, he was a dark room man.

Started with slides & then prints both of which I hope to convert & upload sometime.

Eventually worked my way up to :-
Canon 1D Mk 3's.
Canon G12
Canon 300mm f 2.8; a wonderfull lens. Traded the 300 in for a 400mm 2.8L IS an even better lens. Best results when used with a mono-pod.
Canon 70 - 200 f 4 IS swapped a 100 - 400 IS for it, as I found the bigger lens was a little bit soft had 2 examples of this lens found both were the same, No problem in good light but as soon as the light started to drop I ended up dumping far too many images. 70 - 200 far far better.
Canon 24 - 105 f 4 IS; what a great lens.
Canon 1.4 extender, very handy piece of kit.
Canon 50mm 1.8
Various older lenses & cameras.
3 flash guns Canon 580 Mk11's & Sigma & plus 3 studio flash heads & soft boxes etc. couple of reasonable modeling lamps& all the other bits & pieces that come along with a Photographer, including a bad back from carrying everything.
Giottos carbon fibre tripod & fluid head.
Tamrac rolling camera case / backpack to help with the bad back.
2 monopods

Just picked up some 2nd hand lenses & Cokin A & P fliters etc. over the Christmas period 2009, wanting to do some macro work when time allows.
Sigma 150mm 2.8 macro.
Tamron 90mm 2.8 macro. Just need a ring flash now.
Tamron 19 - 35mm 3.5
