26yrs old, I am a 3rd year PhD student working on killer whales of the Crozet islands, a french territory located in sub-antarctic waters. Through photo-identification, my supervisor (Dr Chirstophe Guinet) and I are trying to understand these killer whales depredation behaviour towards commercial longline fishing vessels. see www.cebc.cnrs.fr/Fidentite/tixier/tixier.htm

Most of the pictures displayed on this photostream were taken in British Columbia (Canada). I worked there from 2003 to 2007on acoustical behaviour and photo-identification of killer whales. See www.orcalab.org)

Some pictures come from the Seychelles islands. I was there in 2007 to study interactions between longliners and false killer whales and short finned pilot whales.

I worked on bottlenose dolphins, striped dolphins and fin whales in the Mediterranean sea in 2002 and 2003 which explains the few pictures taken there.

Amongst other places I've taken pictures in, you'll find Alaska and Mexico.
