Paul Pomeroy's photostream

I play piano (not very well), paint (usually with pastels) though not recently and I photograph pretty much whatever catches my eye, taking somewhere between 400 and 800 photos a month. My two daughters are both grown, one a UCSD grad, the other a recent graduate from Marymount University in Virginia. I'm a grandpa to two little heart melters, Katelyn and Gracie.

I moved from California to Arizona in the summer of 2010 to provide live in care for my parents, both now in their late eighties and in poor health. Little of what I see on a daily basis shows up here on Flickr. Were things different, I suppose, I might use my camera in a more photojournalistic manner here but it tends, instead, to be an activity that gets me out and about ...

Still, I think with the baby boomer generation approaching retirement age the physical and emotional trials of aging (and dealing with the aged) is an important topic. Perhaps the day will come when I feel ready to turn the camera towards those issues.
