Well... I'm not really sure what to write here so I'll just waffle on for a bit and hope you don't get too bored. I'm a 30 year old sound engineer and bassist from Bradford, UK, who kinda has an obsession with photography. I love the whole process of creating images and I'm usually at my happiest with a camera in my hand and my iPod in my ears.

My gear includes:

Canon 7D
Canon 40D
Canon 30D
Canon 350D
Canon EOS 10
Olympus OM-20
EF 70-200L f4
EF 50mm f1.8
Sigma 50-500 EX DG (Bigma)
Sigma 10-20 EX DC (Wigma)
Nikon D50 + Nikkor 18-55 + Sigma 70-300
27" iMac and Photoshop CS4 for editing

I also love shooting film and currently use an old but fantastic EOS 10 film SLR and an even older but equally fantastic Olympus OM-20. I generally prefer shooting landscape-type work on film as opposed to digital just because the whole process is a little more organic than digital, although I still love digital and use it exclusively for my aviation shooting.

Anyway... I'll add more to this as and when I can think of more to say!

On a closing note, I hope you enjoy my work on here! :-)

    A M Spalding says:

"Well since Paul has written a testimony about me I think it is only fair that I extend him the same curiosity. I have known Paul now about 2 years and during that time we have built up a very close relationship. I first met Paul, when I began to take my aviation photography seriously and moved up into the world of DSLR photography. The first thing that struck me about Paul was his personality including his ability and willingness to help others. This really stood out especially due to the society we currently live in. Paul was more than happy to spend time helping me and providing me with guidance, which so many others failed to demonstrate.

Paul has spent many hours with me providing me with practically help and guidance in order to help me stretch the limits of my photography - not only that, Paul has also brought a sense of fun and enjoyment, and this has really helped me enjoy my hobby more than I ever have done before.

Moving away from Paul's willingness to help others and his generosity, the next aspect that is striking is Paul's talent in taking photos. Paul has a keen interest in Aviation and this is evident by the thousands of photos that he successfully contributed to famous world wide aviation websites. Paul is also an excellent musician and it is evident in his photography how he is able to combine both his job and his hobby so effectively.

Moving away from Paul's keen hobby of aviation, I believe his real talent lies in his non aviation work. It doesn't take long or much effort from looking at Paul's photography to realise the ability he has to capture a scene that is able to tell a story. Paul has an exceptional eye for composition, being able to balance the subject (s) so that it is ascetically pleasing to the eye, but at the same time being able to capture the scene he requires.
Paul has an excellent ability to create an image which most photographers would fail to spot. I know some very good aviation photographers, but when they are required to "think outside the box” and produce non aviation photography they are unable to transfer this skill. This is where Paul is so different. Paul has a very versatile approach to his photography which allows his to be creatively different - Pushing the limits of his creativity but also his technical ability. Paul stands out from other photographers because of this versatility.

I could go on all day writing about Paul's photography and the fact his work will always amaze me. I do truly look up to him not only as a person, but also in terms of a great photographer and teacher. Through the whole process of producing my work I always aim to please just one individual.

I can't offer Paul enough thanks, or enough gratitude for what he has provided and done for me over the past two years. A lot of what I do now, the enjoyment of my hobbies and what I have been able to produce is down to one man and one man alone.

So he may love cheeseburgers, he may love fruit salads, but Paul my friend you are THE LEGEND!"
