Living by the South Coast in England provides a fantastic variety of local photographic opportunities, plus when I am lucky enough to travel with my job I like to always have a camera with me.

Since June 2010 I have been lucky to be assigned to a role in Ghana, West Africa. I cannot say how much of a lifetime joy it has been to experience the warmth and friendship of the Ghanaian people here, from those with big smiles around their cooking pots to the emerging professionals.

My photographic interests are primarily wildlife and landscape, though I also enjoy helping some friends out with studio work and I shall explore still-life work on rainy days. Current kit includes:

Sony A700 dSLR (v4)
Carl Zeiss SAL-1680Z
Carl Zeiss SAL-85F14Z
Carl Zeiss SAL-135F18Z
Sony SAL-70300G
Sony SAL-70400G
Minolta 100mm f2.8 Macro
Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 AT-X PRO DX
Sigma 50mm f1.4 EX DG
Sony 1.4x TC
Sony 2x TC
HVL-52AM

Carl Zeiss 50mm f1.4 (former Contax c/y mount)*
Carl Zeiss 50mm f1.7 (former Contax c/y mount)*

As of April 2009:
I have decided to take the plunge and go from "opportunist snapper" to being more creative and creating the environment too. This has meant embarking on an extension to my existing kit and so far have added:

2 x Elinchrom BX500Ri + SkyPort triggers
Various Softboxes, an Octobox and umbrellas and gels
Lastolite Hi Lite 6x7 background + trains
Lastolite Background Support System + reversible backdrops

For post-processing, I now use DXO for RAW conversion (of my best work) and Corel Paint Shop Pro X3/4 Ultimate for further editing.

I hope you enjoy looking through my work - its not gallery but more a record of what and where I have been,

Paul

    PhotoSim says:

"I admire Paul’s passion while shooting and it’s a pleasure to look at his whole work. Paul’s sensibility is reflected in his images of all sort: nature, animals or people …
I was amazed how much class he added through his shots to this little lady called Janet (see Janet set).
I hope Paul will continuously spoil our eyes with his quality work."
