About Me.

Taking pictures is a passion and a hobby. I earn my living as a research scientist. I like sport and action photography but i shoot a wide variety of subjects. I like to jump from one subject to another one and experimenting new techniques.

My philosophy is to post one photo per day on Flickr selected from my huge collection of digital photos. I believe than quality is more important than quantity. I hope you will enjoy them.

About the use of my photos.

All my pictures have been reduced in size and quality to prevent non authorised use. Commercial or editorial use is strictly forbiden without my authorisation.

I'm an amateur photographer so I'm open to other amateurs to use my photos for their blog or reblog them on Tumblr. I'm also open for the use on cool app like "Stuck on Earth".

Original file sizes, up to 18 Mp or more, present much more details. If you want the original version, non-watermarked, or if you want to use any of my photos, please contact me via Flickr mail, via my website or via this email address : patrick.mayon [at] ntlworld.com . You can also contact Getty as I activated the Flickr-Getty option. However not all my photos are suitable for licensing : motorsport, portraits ... are excluded.

About my gear

I now use a Canon EOS 7D along with different Canon zooms or lenses : a 10-22 mm, a 24 -105 mm, a 70-200 mm f/4, a 100 - 400 mm, a 60 mm macro, 50 mm f1.4, a 135 f/2 L ... with a Canon flash speedlite 580 EX or 480 EX II, along with different filters, a Vanguard tripod, a Jobo Giga One to empty my Sandisk memory cards when i'm away ...

My EOS 40D and my EOS 350D are now collecting dust as my previous SLR (a Minolta 600Si Classic). If anyone is interested in buying them, you can flickr mail me.

J'ai toujours aimé la photographie et j'ai maintenant la chance de pouvoir vous montrer une sélection de mes meilleures photos. J'e sélectionne pour Flickr une photo par jour. Je pense qu'il est preferable d'en montrer moins mais d'en montrer des plus interessantes.

J'utilise actuellement un reflex numerique, un Canon 7D avec divers optiques Canon : un 10 - 22 mm USM, un 24 -105 mm IS L USM, un 70-200 mm IS USM, un 50 mm F1.4, un 60 mm macro, un 135 f/2 L, un 100 - 400 mm IS L USM, un flash Canon speedlite 580 EX ou 480 EX II, un trepied et une collection de filtres Cokin. Par le passé, j'ai pris des photos avec un EOS 40D, EOS 350D, un Minolta 600si classic, un compact numerique Minolta dimage Z1.

Les photos présentes sur ce site sont malheuseusement reduites en taille et qualite. A l'origine les images ont entre jusqu'a 18 Mp voir plus mais ont été réduites a 900 * 600 pixels
