I have alot of different computing hobbies, though none so fun as for the sake of it themselves.

Longtime Linux user at this point, and I am trying to extend similar freedoms to my other hobbies.

I only like to use free and open source software where I can (which is pretty much about everywhere). Current software tools for my photo hobbies are:

GIMP
hugin - open source panorama photo stitcher
CinePaint
pfstmo (tone mapping tools for HDR images)
A great QT user-interface to the pfstmo operators by nicholas

I am also the creator of Patr - the Flickr Plugin for Google Chrome. If you get a chance, drop by and try it out, I would love to hear comments!

I've also started putting together a series of tutorials for using GIMP in photo retouching: Getting Around in GIMP

Information should be set free for everyone to benefit from!
