Party of Seven's photostream

I am a 37-year-old mother of 5. My husband is a professional portrait photographer; I am not. My job is to edit his work. The pictures I post on flickr are just for fun. Most of my pics are untouched except for cropping. I prefer pure shots, those that are not photoshopped.

In order to be proactive about my family's Flickr safety, I have decided to adopt a new rule regarding acceptance of contacts. I'm sorry if it seems harsh, but I'm sure most of you will understand. If you add me as a contact or want me to add you as a contact (family/friend specification included), I will need you to provide a reference from my current list of FRIEND contacts. Please make sure the person you use is aware that you are using their name as a reference, and you will obviously want to make sure that they will give you a good reference. Right now I am cleaning house. I will soon be deleting any contacts who have A) Not recently or never commented on my photos B) Have not been verified by one of my current contacts or C) Have not POSTED pictures in 6 months or more. Again, I'm really sorry for any hurt feelings, but frankly, I would rather hurt someone's feelings that have someone hurt my kids.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like me to re-add you. Some of you will be too offended to even try. That's ok. I understand. My process of accepting contacts in the past has been to check through the person's contacts and see if we have any in common and then to go to that common contact and ask about the person. It's time-consuming and a little tedious, so I've decided on the reference method. Thanks for your understanding. I just want a safe Flickr for my family and me.
