I finally understood what photography means to me.
It's sort of what happened back in the "ism" times ( surrealism, impressionism, etc. ) when the painters ended the need to reproduce reality (because photo was invented ) and started to express themselves in many ways never seen before ..
and as I barely used real film in my life, and always been with Digital pictures, I still sense the opportunity and beauty to make "art" without the need to register the exact moment .. and play with colors, exposures, focus, lens artifacts .. have fun, without rules and limits.
I am currently happy with my D-SLR Nikon D80 together with Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D and Tamron 18-200mm served by a SB-600 speedlight.
I hardly run Photoshop, it's too advanced for me.
I used to have a Panasonic DMC-FZ5 Black, a Sony DSC-V1 before my first digicam a Canon S20 in 2000.
