Greetings: I suggest starting here. Let the work speak for its self.

Street photography is my passion. I visualize in black and white. B&W is the purest expression of tone and texture. And it isolates emotion and vibe perfectly. And although I prefer it I've been seeing a lot of color as of late.



One thing that binds the styles of photography giants, like Walker Evans, Robert Frank, Gary Winogrand and Henri Cartier-Bresson, is their willingness to embrace new technologies. Look at the later photographs of Winogrand and Robert Frank and you'll see what I mean.

I take photos with a Digital SLR and point and shoot. I need a Canon EF 24mm prime (grant?:-) I prefer digital; it's fast and cheap.

I always try to see the shot with my intuition and compose to the eye. I consider the importance of the camera to be far secondary to seeing with my heart. I always want to look through the view finder; Practical considerations make it difficult to do so every time. Occasionally, I shoot from the hip. I carry the camera with the strap looped around my right wrist. This arrangement seems faster to my purposes.



Film stuff and older black and white was taken with a Pentax LX and usually a 35mm or 28mm f2.8.
