well I am software engineer by profession and engineering is just not word or subject for me, I like to apply engineering everywhere and photography is no exception. I enjoy studying the technical details of photography and Camera system. I am not good at perception as most of the photographers are, but i do enjoy taking photographs. Photography for me is to capture the moments i enjoy. I enjoy watching sunset/sunrise, clouds, birds, kids, water and lot of other things in daily life, and off course i shoot all these . :)

I started photography in my childhood because I used to think that i can take every family member in the frame. Time just went by and most of time i used to find my self clicking the pictures on every occasion whether its my birthday, my frnds birthday, frnds's sisters birthday or some family outing. I think i was lucky that i got to try lot of different cameras from Kodak Kb10 , Yashika to Agfa ( dont remember the model ). This was very seriously amature photography :P.

Then the digital age started and I was lucky this time too, as I had frnds in my grads days which used to have Phones with camera, like nokia 6600 , nokia 7250i and etc. I just enjoyed capturing those good, bad and sweet moments with my frnds.

Finally the time came when i moved on to do my Post Graduation from MNNIT, Allahabad ( formerly known MNREC ). At allahabad, I used to ask my frnds for their phones to shoot. Slowly I became the official photographer of the class. I shot lot of photographs with Nokia 3230 which was possesion of a girl in the class ( later that girl became my soul mate :) ) . That time my parents felt that i should have cell phone, All though I thought i dont need a phone, but soon i realised I can go for a camera phone ;-). Now, wich phone to buy ? This was tough decision to make as market was flooded with camera phones. But being a technical guy I used to read lot of stuff on internet specially reviews of mobile phones and cameras. Reading those articles and reviews, i realized the beauty of a Camera system. Before that Lens, images sensor and image processor were just words for me. Now i had some idea how these 3 pieces combined together can capture those beautiful moments. After lot of reading and research I bought sony Ericsson k750i , my first Camera ( phone ).It was the first phone with 2 MP image sensor, Autofocus and Led Flash. It is being said that "if today in the market 12 MP camera phone exist it is just because of k750i's success". With k750i i did shoot like anything, i took around 10000 pics in first 15 months. In the meanwhile I had a luxury of using my friend Sony Cybershot P100 , which i think the best point and shoot camera i have used till date, not because it was the first Digital Camera i used but because of its color reproductrion and accuracy. I dont remember any bad output of it. after 15 month, k750i started to give problems with autofocus and I was not able to shoot anything with the camera. But my sister surly used to enjoy shooting videos with that.

Time just went by and I passed out from MNNIT, came back to delhi for internship. Fortunately, I found someone who actually made me think seriously about the photography and very specifically to understand the technology behind the photgraphy. It was none other then the companies director himself, who taught me lot of things about Cameras system. From then on I have been studying about system and taking photogrphs whenever possible. After Some time, I realized that i have enough funds to own my First Digital Camera, it was tough decision to make, which way to go for, A DSLR or a point and shoot. I was a sony fan specially after Sony cyber shot p100 and k750i. Somehow I felt that I not that serious about photography, so a DSLR might turn out to be costly affair. So i decided to go for Prosumer ( PRO + Consumer ) or a bridge camera. Being a sony fan, I thought to go for a Sony HX1 ( with 20X optical zoom, 10 FPS shoot and a superb panaroma mode ) but after referring to its specs I could conclude that it lacks at Image quality ( thanks to my technical knowledge :P) . After that the search goes on like any thing, I researched for around 4 month and finally decided upon Canon PowerShot G11 .In the mean while i looked at various cameras Panasonic Lumix LX3 , Powershot sx100, powershot s90, Powershot G10, Nikon p90, sony hx1, sony wx1, sony tx1 and many more.
I got G11 for a real cheap price ( got it from US ).
Its being a great learning experience on with G11 and flicker. I do watch lot of photos on flicker to see what part of the photography can be explored.
Now i m planning to own Canon 550d :)

PS: I am not good at writing. Please don't mind.
