Not frequenting Flickr much these days. Do forgive me if I don't reciprocate visits and comments. Flickr demands a lot.
You cannot step into the same river twice. Photography helps you do that somewhat. You freeze a moment in time and go back to it living it whenever you want. That is a major attraction of photography for me.
I am experimenting with various subjects and styles as of now. I am not too sure whether I need to develop a style of my own at all. Variety, surprise and unpredicatiblity are the keywords for me at least in the Flickr world. Very unlike me otherwise!
I like humour. I am not too versatile but some people do like my brand of humor and I persist. I like all sorts of humour except that which is caustic. Light-hearted, 'well-intentioned' humour which elicits a laugh or at least a smile is very welcome. Do let me know when I cross the limits I have laid out.
Now, about the rules. I have read numerous books, tutorials on photography, composition, color theory and what have you. I am familiar with most of the guidelines they throw at you. While I can critique a photo very well if I set my mind to it, I don't always follow guidelines and rules. I rely more on instinct and whatever I have internalised. Of course, I welcome the viewers to chuck all these at my photos. It is just that when I shoot, it is the mood of moment.
I am reasonably regular in my response to comments and mail. Welcome to my world, pull up a chair, take a look at my albums and let me have your thoughts.
Impatient? Take a quick look at some random images my stream. Click here for pot luck.
If you want only the 'best', Click here for my 'interesting photos' as defined by Flickr. Objective from my point of view. If that link does not work, try this.

"Pandiyan has an eye that captures the essence of his country that I think is unique . I often feel the urge to step into one of Pandiyans photographs to experiance what I am seeing first hand, to live in his pictures.
Big skies, small details and brilliant, oft informative and quite often amusing commentary on the people, places, wildlife and scenic splendor that he captures. He lives in a beautiful Country and captures it the same way, beautifully, with wonderful attention to the smallest details."
I owe Pandiyan a debt of gratitude for making me come forward into the Flickr mainstream, with his encouraging comments on my photographs.
