Hi,

My name is Jian Ming(JM) from Singapore, South East Asia. Photography is one of my many hobbies.

I bought my first digital camera, Panasonic FX-7 in September 2005. Following that in November 2006, I bought my second camera, a second hand Panasonic FZ5. Why did I switched? FX-7 was a great compact camera but has weak ISO handling and inadequate length. Therefore, switching to FZ5 gave me the ultra zoom and more manual settings to play with. After two years of handling FZ5, I sold my wonderful FZ5 and ventured into the DSLR realm.

I need a budget entry level DSLR which fits my bill as I am still a student with 3 more years before graduating, therefore I chose Nikon D40. I restrict myself to commit 3 years to experiment and explore the DSLR world. In other words, before I can graduate and get a job, I will exploit my beloved D40. Finally, I get to own one on March 2008. :)

Exploring my area of interest for photography, I came in contact with lomography. Soon, I picked up Vivitar Ultra Wide and Slim, Holga 120 GCFN (Modified), Polaroid 635 SE and Diana F+ Hong Meow.
