Once upon a time many moons ago, a Panda Cat was born (this is good to know because it was me. Yay!). The natives who gathered to see the birthing of such a superb creature were stunned by her albino-glowing skin and said, "This ain't no Mexican baby! Her mami must have done it with the mailman and not the gardener."
And thus, my journey into life began. The villagers were frightened of my oddly dark eyes and yet virgin-snow skin. They fed me tortillas and frijoles and chili verde in hopes that I would tan and develop a fear of the chupacabra and help one of them get a green card. They soon lost interest in the young Panda Cat who was often found playing in the mud dressed as Punky Brewster and carrying around a battered looking Care Bear.
And then I grew up, but not by very much...
I find beauty in childhood toys, cartoons, memories, photos...I love broken plushies with missing eyes and torn limbs, though not because they're thought of as ugly or damaged goods, but instead because I can see how their imperfection doesn't make them unlovable...I love those old 25 cent toy machines (before they were 50 cents) and they still thrill me...I'm a California girl who loves the 80's and wants to be Punky Brewster when she grows up...
I love the purity cartoons of my generation and before me had and the wonder the universe seemed to hold before the 90's hit us...I miss the original Care Bears, Rainbow Brite, My Little Pony, She-Ra, Fraggle Rock, Pound Puppies (oh yes my favorite!), Strawberry Shortcake and so many more...
I also love makeup and anything and everything that shines and sparkles...I think the world needs more color so I paint my eyelids every tint in the world...aquafina blue and magenta, grasshopper green and purplesaurus rex...don't forget the glitter...Keep in mind though that in no way am I a professional at it nor do I want to be. For me, it's all about color, glitter, fun and feeling fabulous...my face is my own personal coloring book...
My passion is writing, infecting the world to believe in the impossible when I can...
I'm a former angry girl who is reclaiming her right to be happy...
Photography is another outlet I'm learning to love...I know nothing about it other than it makes me happy and I enjoy using it to show off things in my little world but I'm still a newbie at it...my Canon Power Shot A570 IS and Canon G9 bring me smiles but I lust after a Pentax K200D...
I also have a panda man who is the best rockstar in the world ♥
Also, I get tons of questions about makeup. I admit, I do it for fun and only fun, but if you have any questions about it, or anything else, feel free to message me! Sometimes I will forget if the question is left as a comment and I feel terrible about that!
