I have been using Flickr for a few years but my first account was deleted and the photos were lost.

After an interest in photography spanning some 45 years I believe we have never had it so good !

In 2008 when µ4/3 cameras started I purchased a Panasonic G1. I have also used a GF1 and GF3. In January 2012 I sold the G1 and obtained the G3, which is in use with a 14-45 zoom and the 20mm pancake lens.

As an update to the above I am now using the G3 with the 20mm f1.7 pancake lens whilst the zoom is not getting any use. The G3+20 provides a small and light camera which suits me really well.

The µ4/3 compact system cameras provide everything that I need, quality without size and weight, a truly great format.

The old days of "serious photography" which involved carrying a lot of kit are gone. µ4/3 is a small system that does all that I want.

All my photos are JPEG's. I do not use any software apart from the basic editing functions in the MacBook iphoto. Heavy photo editing does not appeal to me. I like adjusting the camera, as we have always done, but software and computer work is not for me. I cannot find any advantage in using RAW, at least not in any applied practical purpose.



My photo stream does contain rather a lot of transport subjects. In future I will be aiming more for buildings, along with just about anything that I feel like doing.
