Kia ora,
The core purpose of this library is "to inspire people to explore the pathways of the world" - Te Ara Whanui o Te Ao.
This glass and steel building came to life in 1996, a Ian Athfield creation it is a bright, airy and vibrant place.
Paul Dibble sculptures and a series of pen drawings by John Bevan Ford are infused into the reading collections
Although worth a visit for the art alone you are bound to find something else to take your fancy.
Many of these shots were taken by local photographer Bernadette Peters. If you want to know more about the camera and techniques she used post a comment.
