  "Sajjad Shah does not just observe his incredible culture and heritage like so many others seem to do. He is also a part of it incorporating himself into a seamless blend being a part of the land and his people that make up the spectacular and beautiful country of Pakistan. I have watched Sajjad Shah's work over the last year and he has dramatically improved photographing Pakistani culture, tradition and heritage and more recently being a part of incorperating himself into it especially in his Kalam series over the summer which I find mind blowingly beautiful. This is a photographer, a very talented one infact that I can say I am grateful to know. He is also grateful of his culture and shares it with the world not trying to be pretentious but just being himself as who he is and expressing himself the way an artist or photographer should in Pakistan or anywhere else for that matter with great creativity, showing that he can wear salwar kameez, interact with the people and not just be a distant observer. Much of his work is indeed truly genius and I hope he will become as recognized as possible. He is also a really down to Earth person, grounded and at ease with himself and others and does not have to try to pretend to be someone else he is not to win a shallow popularity contest which is the sign of a great artist. Sajjad Shah is a true photographer in the sense and passionate photographer that is very creative. I hope more people will be inspired by his work and his expressions in Pakistan and follow in his footsteps showing the rest of the world how beautiful Pakistan is as Pakistan."
