Hi I’m Claire. I live in Birmingham UK.

Half the week I work as a Special Needs teacher in a mainstream school. The rest of the week sees my alter ego emerge as an artist and crafter.

I love colour. I love pattern.

So I knit, crochet, sew, quilt, applique, and paint anything with gorgeous colours and lovely patterns.

My hero’s are Kaffe Fassett, Jean Martin, Winifred Nicholson, Jenny Wheately, Frida Khalo, Mary Fedden, Anita Klein, Francis Boag, Caroline Bailey, Brie Harrison and Tricia Guild of Designers Guild.

Likes;

fresh coffee, fabric shops, art stores, lying in bed, anything in Anthropologie, books and magazines (especially Country Living magazine) travelling, guinea pigs, tidiness, laughing, running, good food, Ben and Jerry’s and inspiring blogs.

Dislikes:

liars, early mornings, beef, and being misunderstood.
