I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun
I started humpin' volcanoes, baby, when I was too young
Started surfing the mad house, and I decided to stay
I got an itch in my cosmic pocket, and it won't go away

I'm your living crop circle

- Monster Magnet "Crop circle"

Besides humpin' volcanoes, I enjoy finding out how the brain works (during the week) and taking pictures of underwater life (on the weekend). I live in Okinawa, Japan, and love to travel around the tropics and subtropics of planet earth.

I use a Canon 5D II camera, with a number of lenses, my favorites are the Canon USM 100 mm macro, and the Canon 17-40 mm. All of that I put into a Hugyfot housing, with two Inon Z-240 strobes.

For post processing I use The Gimp, open source rulez!

I am mainly interested in the natural history of marine animals - how do they feed, reproduce, avoid predation, what symbioses do they engage in? This is what I want to capture with my photographs.
