Flickr opened new worlds to me, imagine to be surrounded by so many fine people who treasure nature's power and wonder as much as do I, with or without camera.

Henry David Thoreau says
"Perfect sincerity and transparency make a great part of beauty,
as in dewdrops, lakes, and diamonds"

ripples on my mind

He also says, " a man is rich in proportion to the number of things
he can afford to let alone" – however, photography is one thing I could not let alone.

My father developed B&W from I was big enough to climb up the kitchen table and watch. When I studied architecture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen I had a very gentle, talented teacher in photography, who taught us to focus on light and shadows.

My dreams are all in color, though. And I went through life mixing crayons, colors, paper and forms, did not stick to architecture, studied geology and minerals for several years, hiked in Lapland, played a lot of music. Drawing and designing became my way of income.

Now I live in the southern part of Denmark, in a 16th century farmhouse, thatched roof, whitewashed walls, and a big country garden with huge old trees, with my husband Niels, who also works in architecture, landscape and design. I do graphic- web- garden- and interior- design. And make quite a few photos ;) I work on a Mac Pro, I use Lightroom 3 plus Photoshop CS5. My present camera is a Canon EOS 5D Mk II

I also paint and write, meditate and play the piano, read a lot of books on how to find inner peace, and..... after I joined flickr surf around till late hours absorbed in awesome photos by all you people I admire so!

"Jette has a wonderful way of capturing the light and texture of the Danish countryside ... the beauty of its changing seasons...the essence of its fabric and spirit. . Landscapes and seascapes...sunrises and sunsets.., trees and mist...all of this and more are found in her vibrant photostream. My family and l enjoy watching slideshows of the various sets of her photos . There is a feeling of grace...of serenity ...of true communion with nature...as one photo follows the next. At the end of the slideshow, l feel refreshed and inspired by those beautiful images.

She has also been a very kind supporter of my photos. Thank you, Jette ...l am happy and honored to be your contact and friend on Flickr ."

"I would like to express my first feeling in german: Ich kann es kaum glauben, dass dieser Photostream von Jette/outdoorstudio noch keine Empfehlung / Testimonial hat!?
Dear Jette, durch Zufall oder besser Koinzidenz lande ich mal wieder in Deinem Photostream und bin ganz begeistert und bleibe in Deinen Sets hängen und freue mich über Deine schöne Beschreibung in deinem Profil und Dein Zitat von H.D.Thoreau?
Here are few other short(!) quotes by Thoreau for you and to share with other Flickr-friends:
Love does not analyze its object.
The tree is full of poetry.
The universe is wider than our views of it.
The highest condition of art is artlessness.
Read not the Times. Read the Eternities.

To me the last one fits to Flickr.-addicts - there is lot more to discover in this world... moderation, intuition and no conditioning are just few keys to find out. Jette, you´ve found already a lot of it and gives it to the world of Flickr. Thank you so much for your work, your art, your open mind, your words and comments, your thoughts and intentions. The subjects and realization of your sets are full of imagination, observation and sensitivity. I hope you will continue to show us your view and understanding of the world around you -including the people: men and woman in the expression of Thoreau:
It is with men as with trees; you must grow slowly to last long.

I feel good that we have a lot in common not only because I´ve developed many relations with Denmark (its art and culture between beautiful Louisiana, Bornholm and Tondern) and a deep admiration for "life and work of Emil Nolde". I´ve lived in "Noldeland" between Sylt, Nordfriesland/Aventoft (Rutebüller See) and the South Seas (Hawaii). (s. my set: Emil Nolde / Seebüll etc. in my photostream).
Lets keep in touch and lets be grateful for every new friendship!
Mange Tak, Hi Hi , Moin Moin and ALOHA (above the superficial love image) which means in deep hawaiian-polynesian understanding: be aware about everything between heaven and earth including yourself and your most inner feelings and longings.
A small token of my appreciation:"
